Ms.Lenny: Ms.Lenny is a very kind teacher, she is often time funny to. That is why I wrote comments about Ms.Lenny and made a post about her. But, now she is not so fun because she is so bussy making our reports, I tried my best to not disturb her so all of my friends and I got a good score.
Mr.Novan: Now Mr.Novan is getting funnier and funnier! All of us are confused when Mr.Novan said something funny in arts time, when we are making Christmas decorations. He said thst the newspaper is to hit our head, to be a gun, and others. Before Calista and I thougt that Mr.Novan is an evil minuser. But, sometimes Mr.Novan is kind to me and sometimes hurt my feelings.

Evan: (Evan used my name so I use his name back) Evan sometimes hurt my feelings and sometimes be my close friend. Today I made a magical plan with him ******************. Kenny said it is crazy. Evan is good friend to me. Sometimes he is just like me he can't stand his talkativeness like what happened in the challenge.
Gio:Gio is sometimes is the bossy boss of me but he likes to say words like a teanager I think he is quite good to me. Sometimes he hurts my feelings.

These are the teachers and friends that I want to comment about:
Mr.Novan: Mr.Novan is a funny teacher he teaches BI, he is so kind to the students. Many people like him and I like him to. He also teaches art. When it was art time sometimes the students needed help and Mr.Novan always helps us.
Ms.Lenny: Ms. Lenny teaches maths and IS. She is so kind and funny to. She also helps her students do their work. When there is a class conflict Ms. Lenny will always try to discuss and solve it.
Mr. Jeff teaches English he likes to tell jokes and is very funny. When we need to find a word or make the words better we can ask him He usually helps the kids to make their English project or work if we needed help.
Lao Shi Peter: Lao Shi Peter was like the most kind teacher he is sometimes funny and interesting. He teaches mandarin lesson. When we made a mistake with the writing or the tone Lao Shi peter can help us to fix it. he can also make our mandarin pronunciation better.

Gio: Gio is kind. He is not naughty and likes to obey the teacher. When he goes with me. He always say good words. When we drive him to his house he always say
'thank you'.
Marchel: Marchel is so friendly. He also likes to play with everyone. He also likes to cheer people. For me he is a nice person.
Icha: Icha seem to like all of her friends. She likes to play with them to. For me Icha was a very kind person. She like to let people borrow her things. She also sometimes remind people.
Reina: Reina was a very nice person. She also likes to talk a lot. She also likes to give me some of her things. For me she seem to be a friendly person. Reina is also a fast learner. for me she is quite smart.

The science day was very good. It was so nice to have a project like that. At first my group succeeded on the presentation, but when it is time for the parents to come closer to our booth. Our experiment succeeded again but on the third time it failed. After tat we tried to do it again. It worked. So I was happy to have a science day

Today we had a science day and our parents we're invited to see our own experiment. My group was sooooooooo Nervous. Actually we fail the experiment but still our experiment only work a little.
We had a blast day. And oh... I forget^_^ my experiment was called 'The Pencil Re-fill got hot'
and my teammates are Angie(or NG), Kenny and and Miko. And next week we will have a class party and our end year performance which is we are really nervous but we will do the best that we can do to make our performance attractive.

SCIENCE FAIR - 11th Dec 2009

SEE SOUND - experiment 4

You need :
1. a sheet of plactic (cut from a carrier bag)
2. an elastic band
3. a plastic bowl
4. a saucepan, drum - drumstick, cymbal
5. a wooden mixing spoon
6. coarse grain salt or rice / beads.

What to do:
1. Put the plastic sheet over the top of the bowl. Keep the place with the elastic band so that the plastic is tightly stretched.
2. Place the salt or the rice on the plastic.
3. Hold the saucepan near the plastic bowl ( but not close enough to touch ) and hit it a few times with the wooden spoon.

What happens?
The grains of salt or rice jump about.

Because....
...when the saucepan is hit, it makes a noise which vibrates. This makes the air around it vibrates as well, producing sound-waves. When these waves hit the bowl, the bowl vibrates and makes the salt or the rice jump about.

Electricity figures everywhere in our lives. Electricity lights up our homes, cooks our food, powers our computers, television sets, and other electratoms are made up of smaller particles. The three main particles making up an atom are the proton, the neutron and the electron.
Electrons spin around the center, or nucleus, of atoms, in the same way the moon spins around the earth. The nucleus is made up of neutrons and protons.
Electrons contain a negative charge, protons a positive charge. Neutrons are neutral -- they have neither a positive nor a negative charge.
There are many different kinds of atoms, one for each type of element. An atom is a single part that makes up an element. There are 118 different known elements that make up everything! Some elements like oxygen we breathe are essential to life.
Each atom has a specific number of electrons, protons and neutrons. But no matter how many particles an atom has, the number of electrons usually needs to be the same as the number of protons. If the numbers are the same, the atom is called balanced, and it is very stable.
So, if an atom had six protons, it should also have six electrons. The element with six protons and six electrons is called carbon. Carbon is found in abundance in the sun, stars, comets, atmospheres of most planets, and the food we eat. Coal is made of carbon; so are diamonds
Some kinds of atoms have loosely attached electrons. An atom that loses electrons has more protons than electrons and is positively charged. An atom that gains electrons has more negative particles and is negatively charge. A "charged" atom is called an "ion."
Electrons can be made to move from one atom to another. When those electrons move between the atoms, a current of electricity is created. The electrons move from one atom to another in a "flow." One electron is attached and another electron is lost.
This chain is similar to the fire fighter's bucket brigades in olden times. But instead of passing one bucket from the start of the line of people to the other end, each person would have a bucket of water to pour from one bucket to another. The result was a lot of spilled water and not enough water to douse the fire. It is a situation that's very similar to electricity passing along a wire and a circuit. The charge is passed from atom to atom when electricity is "passed."

insulator: electricity is conducted through some things better than others do. Its resistance measures how well something conducts electricity. Some things hold their electrons very tightly. Electrons do not move through them very well. These things are called insulators.
Conductors:materials have some loosely held electrons, which move through them very easily. These are called conductors.

Today we have an experiment again. The experiment is with a balloon. First you rub it on different surfaces example you rub your hair with the balloon for 1 minute. Today I was doing experiment in IS Intergrated Studies in the first experiment is the magnet we put the water inside the glass, we stick the magnet in glass, we sink the paperclip and it will sticks. second experiment is a battries we put a water in the glass, we connect the the 3 battries, battery to battery, we connect th 2 wires in left and right in the batries and nail, the water giving by salt, we put the nail in the water without wet the wire in 2 minutes. then what happen it the batteries is geting hot I feel very happy if i get an experiment.

I have learn that when you put the screw for a while the water will might get electricity from the batteries so...............................if you touch the water you might get a little electrocute. Underwater Magnetism and Chemical Reaction Experiment

The first experiment is called Underwater Magnetism.It is a fun experiment to do because when I stick the magnet with the paper clip that is on the plastic cup that been filled out by a water,It works and I like that experiment.

The second experiment is called Chemical Reaction.It is a little bit fun because My hand are tired because I hold the battery and I can't let it go the wires go to the water because if I let go I can be electricuted by the wires.

You will need plastic cups, paper clip, magnet and water. the experiment was so fun!!! n I was so shock I thought the paper clip doesn't stick to the magnet but it did. I have learn that paper clips are also like magnet so it can sticks to magnets too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^_^

experiment 1 - UNDERWATER MAGNETISM

Can magnets work through substances?

 You Need :

1. a magnet

2. a jug

3. a paper-clip

4. water

What to do :

1. Pour water into the jug and drop in the paper-clip.  Then invite a friend to take the paper-clip out, but without putting a hand in the water.

2. Place the magnet on the outside of the jug, on the side of the paper-clip. When this moves towards the magnet, draw the magnet slowly up towards the top.

What Happens?

The paper-clip follows the movement of the magnet until it is above the level of the water.  this way, it is possible to take it out without getting your hand wet!

Because....

....the force of the magnet also works through the glass of water. If the sides of the jug were iron or steel, the paper-clip would still be drawn, but with a lesser intensity, because pat of the magnetic force would be "absorbed" by the sides of the jug.

Yesterday, it was Anti bullying day. There was year 9 skit. And also there were many activities. There were selling wristbands saying" We're against bullying, are you?" On that day we have to wear something blue like blue clothes. We have to wear blue because it is the sign of peace. Also we have to present I.S infront of my class. My comment about Lion King and Market Day

I like the Lion King because it is fun, and at the end of the Lion King peformance I think that I am happy and enjoy the Lion King.

At the first time I am nervous because I think I got loss. At the Market Day there is many many people who want to buy,I and Abe take care of the shop while Icha and Elaine go somewhere.At the end I was happy because we made a profit over 100 more money.

Today was actually test day but the test was cancelled and it will be taken on Friday. At the morning we hunt for perpendicualar lines, parallel lines, right angles and the 8 point compass. My group got prallellines. We have to find parallel lines in the class and outside the class. My group members are me, Miko, Angie and Sam. We found 14 things but 2 parallel lines is at the canteen and it is not included actually. From the hunt I realize that we learn about those things in another way which is fun way. I really learn a lot from the hunt and I felt so excited. The hunt was FUN! 4L has really true frinds and can be trusted and the teachers are really FUN too! On Saturday there will be Open Day and Icha's grou will present again the Investor Day.

Description :

Hunting Game is On !!!! We hunt for perpendicular lines, parallel lines, right angles and write some clues using 8 point compass around the school.

We're divided into 4 groups and each groups have to hunt different things and marked the objects they have found.... then they will share things they have found to other groups !

GAME ZONE DAY!

Today we have a great time to close our Unit 2 For Sale by having a GAME ZONE DAY.  The objective of this game is for the students to be able to manage their money.  Each one of them are given Petty cash for $tm 50,000 & there are 10 game stalls.  Each stalls is cost different from other stalls and will earn different money reward if the players are able to win in that game.  In the end of the game, all kids have to make the game report.
